Dear Residents -

 

I am sorry to have to report that, effective January 12, 2010, there will be a vacancy on the Borough Council.  Carol Flink, who has served our community well the past few years on Council and as Emergency Management Coordinator, is moving out of State.  This means that we will have a vacancy on the Council.

 

Pursuant to State law, a vacated seat on the governing body must be filled by a member of the departing office-holders political party.  Carol is a Republican, so by law her seat must be filled by a Republican. 

 

Persons interested in being considered to fill this vacancy are encouraged to contact Mark Peck at: Mayor@BloomsburyNewJersey.com.  The only requirements for potential candidates are that they be registered to vote, registered as a Republican, and they must reside in the Borough.

 

We also have other volunteer opportunities with the Fire Department, Rescue Squad, Recreation, and Planning Board - if you are interested in getting involved and serving your community, please consider any of these.  No prior experience or training necessary.  Thank you
