It is my pleasure and privilege to inform you that Steve Novak of the Express Times has reported that the developer has officially withdrawn his
application for the truck transfer station:

There is also an updated article on the front page of today's Express Times.  We are working to obtain a copy of the developer's letter of
withdrawal to the township and to determine whether or not the Land Use Board meeting scheduled for Wednesday is still being held.  If it is, I
would encourage you to still attend if only to share in a collective cheer of approval once the developer's withdrawal is announced.

This development is a testament to the power of individuals in the community to come together and speak with one voice.  Congratulations to
all of us!  However, while this is a great victory we haven't yet reached a point where we can say that this area is protected from this type of
development in the future.  This isn't the end, but it is certainly a great beginning.  We need to stay focused on tightening the language in
the zoning regulations, ensuring that zoning is appropriate, and fostering communication and cooperation among the townships in terms of regional
planning.  Don't give up - we can do it!
